Solved Boot Problem

Hello ,
I have again Problem with my computer, The Problem is that while the computer was working fine... and the other day it just started hanging so i supposed that the Operation system was the Fault (Windows Vista Ultimate.) , Did a format but the same thing... So i Unpluged the Hard Disk From the Computer and Pluged it in another Working Computer, newly installed Windows Vista And Some Programms and drivers, then Checked if everything i working Fine, And it seems so... Well then I connected the HD to the Other Computer and swicthed it on... its going to Load Windows, Afer the First Bar runs it suddenly Splashes A blue Screen... And Restarts the Computer..
Well After that i removed the RAM and tried them in my other working Computer and there were working Great, So does the Graphic Card, If netheir the RAM Neither the Graphic Card and nor the DVD Drives is the Problem. SO What May Be The F***G Problem??

ohh Also i had Restored the Bios Settings With the Jumper Method.
I start the Computer and Is Shows me a Message that Says
CMOS Settings ERROR
"Press F1 for Run Setup and F2 for Default Settings.."
Press the Default And the Computer Frezzes Then Restart It manually And it Splashes the Blue Screen as I had Mentioned.

Sorry, for that but it had Broken my nerves.!!!

Intel 3,00 Ghz
Nvidia GeForce 5200 128 mb
AC'97 Sound card (Something Like that)
DDR Ram 2x512 Mb = 1Gb
AMIBIOS Version: 3.31a

What is the error message you are getting on the blue screen.

Just because your HD works on one computer does not mean the software will work on another.

This sort of error can indicate a failing motherboard battery. This supplies power to the CMOS when the system is not in use and enables it to maintain the system configuration data. In this case, the BIOS settings will automatically be set to their defaults, but if the default settings are not the correct ones for your system, then problems such as BSODs and other instabilities can occur.

You also stated that you reset the Bios settings by using the jumper. Check to ensure that this jumper is correctly located for normal operation, as this could be the source of your problem. You could also change the battery - this is usually a lithium button-cell, type CR2032. Generally speaking, the motherboard manufacturer will install one at the time of the board's manufacture, which could be a few months before the board is assembled into a system. It certainly wouldn't do any harm in replacing it.

For information regarding jumper settings, battery replacement and BIOS configuration, please see your motherboard manual.

Well The message that i get cant see it because the computer Restarts Immidiatelly.

If the HD works With one Computer and with the other not the problem is not in OS or In The Hard Drive...

As for this i have Replaced the battery Few Weeks ago in both of my Computers to Be sure!

And I think That the Problem is not in The BIOS Because The Self test Pasess Ok and when the Windows just staring LOading I get The Blue Screen.

So may the problem be in motherboard or in the CPU... Because when i am Putting My hand on the Cooler Of the CPU its Pretty Warm... And i Compare it to my others computer Cooler Tempreture (that is the Same...) and it is not so Warn ...

Is the correct date and time maintained in the Bios, or is this reset (usually to the date and time of the current BIOS software release) each time you power on your system? Don't overlook the fact that, although you have replaced the battery, the new battery could, in fact, be a dud.

As regards the jumper, that is a perfectly valid statement. I have, in the past, assembled systems for myself and then wondered why they didn't work. I checked everything, or at least I thought I had. I turns out that I hadn't checked the jumpers on the rear of the optical drive - they were both set to the same setting. The moral is just recheck ALL jumper settings to make sure that you haven't overlooked anything (don't worry if you have, we've all done it).

Just because the POST runs without issues, it does not mean that the configuration data in the BIOS is correct. The POST simply evaluates the hardware attached to the motherboard - it does not care about its configuration.

As soon as the BIOS screen goes away, start tapping the F8 key rapidly
This will bring you to a black screen that says "Safe Mode" near the top
Scroll down the list of stuff until you see an entry to Disable automatic restart on system failure (or something very similar).
Select that and let it boot. The system will stop on the blue screen so you can read the information. Here's a link that describes the information: How To Find Bsod Error Messages

if you installed vista with your hard drive in another machine theres no way it will boot in the new one , it will bluescreen , for allsorts of possible reasons too many to mention , all hardware related

you cant just "hotswap" hard drives like that mate

you need to format it in the pc you are going to use it with , but first remove everything you dont need , leave in only one stick of ram , remove anything such as soundcards , wireless cards etc so you have a "barebones" system

see if that helps , give up trying to load that install on your other pc your on a road to nowhere

well your obviously having problems with that pc mate , which is why i think you should try stripping it down to bare essentials first , it wont work the way you have tried it , it has to be installed using the hardware its going to be running on , it will just bluscreen otherwise , windows will always assume there is a major hardware issue/ problem and shut down/bluscreen to prevent any further failiure

if the motherboard was the same in the other pc then maybe there is a chance it will work bu even then its a slim chance

Archie put it a better way than me.

I did state that using a hard drive on one system does not mean the software will work on another.

Go into your BIOS and check all the settings.

When you cleared the BIOS it will reset to factory settings, you will need to reset them to what is required for your hardware setup.

Check the speed of the RAM, The boot order and also anything else that is required to get the computer to work properley.

Once this is done reformat your HD and install Vista.

well Thanks for Replying Guys,
But I Cant Solve the problem... And Trying to do diffrent things.

So what i have that so far is,
I have tried installing Vista as you said at that machine... But without any success , it does not Even booted from the CD of the Vista.
So then i tried something else, i managed to installed Linux (Ubuntu Distribution 9.04),
and all was Working Great, Except my USB wireless Adapter... was working at first but then it just stoped working completly,( But the Adapter is working Good on my Laptop With Vista , So its ok) so its seems that it needs some drivers to work on Ubuntu.

So now i am trying again to install Vista, It boots from CD And then I Choose the Partition that is free but it shows me a message saying "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation"

can You tell me what to Do?

What size is the Ubuntu partition ? Vista requires more room in a larger partition than your Ubuntu might have for its primary partition. Thats what I get out of the error message from the Vista install.

If the Ubuntu primary partition is smaller than Vista needs, you will have to increase the size of that partition. I don't know how to do that in Ubuntu.

Well Look ,
At First i Had 35Gb Partition that i was trying to Install The Vista But cant... Then i Seperated that Partition in 10 Gb ext4 and 3 Gb Swap that Linux Needed for its install...
So i installed the Ubuntu in that Partitions. The As i mentioned I tried Installing the Vista In the Left Space of that PArtition that is 22 Gb , and Get that message.
So i dont Think that the problem is in Space, Beacause its Enought For vista in my opinion.

So What it Might Be?

When installing vista, did you set the cd/dvd as the first boot device in your BIOS?

Well Guys Thanks for all your Replys and support.
I Finally managed to install the Vista... After Reformating All The HD ... And all seems to work fine so far, i will see how it will go in the future.
