Okay this is a long story so bare with me, and it has to be long because i dont know which of the events in the last week has caused this.
My computer is a Dell x430 Vista 64.
So, a month ago i went to best buy, bought a new video card (ati 5760), a new psu (900 watt), two 4 gb rams and a 2 tb hard drive. had the store install it for me because well, i dont want to accidentally screw it up. Especially the power source, dont want to fry anything. After the installment, i also bought and install 1 new virus protection (pc doctor) and 1 new spyware protection (ccleaner). At the time my computer also already has a Shaw Secure anti virus and an expiring Nortan. Then, the next day, i had a bad virus attack by the Antimalware Doctor virus. I accepted it thinking it was my own anti virus, shoulda read carefully. Which really messed my computer up, and at that sametime, i was getting BSOD crashes which i assumed was the virus but it may not be. Not only that but it had cause my computer to be dreadfully slow, with millions of uncontorllable ads.
So, after 24 hrs of struggle against the virus, i had no choice but to do a full restore to factory default. took an other 48 hrs to reinstall all my stuff. how ever, the BSOD is still happening... After an other 2 days of random crashes, just now, it crashed, and when i try to restart it. My computer simply loads to the start up screan, i hear the cheerful start up tune then i get a msg of windows exploerer has stopped working and bam, bsod again. It is on that cycle. Each crash i get a different msg on the blue screen, some times it says i should try disabling my hard drive, other times it says i should try disabling my anti virus.
here is what i have done so far. I have start up into safe mode, check my C and F (the 1tb) drive for errors and both say their fine. I tried to disable PC Doctor at start up as i did get a warning about havign 2 virus protection is not good, a recommendation from the windows. However, i couldn't find it at the Administration Tools > start up tab. so i disable Windows Defender the natural anti virus instead, and still i crashes at start up.
I dont know what else to do.
PLEASE HELP.
Thank you. I would like not to restore once again... it was painful and ive lost much of my work from that trial.
