Hello there everyone!
Im having a huge issue with my computer. It will boot fine the first time after say 10 minutes, then will enter windows and either freeze in a warped screen or reboot or restart on its own within a short period of time (seconds perhaps). On restart it stops in a black screen with a blinking space. If i enter safe mode it will reboot after a while again and i get a BSOD saying...
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Tech info reads:
*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0xCFF30023, 0x000000FF, 0x00000008, 0xCFF30023)
And thats all, no other information given.
I even reformatted my hdd, which appeared to get rid of the issue, but it appears to rear its head in some update perhaps within half a week and i would not like to reformat again as i will lose important software and files. As far as im aware i have a fully updated BIOS and driver software.
I have an ASUS X59SL.
# Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 2 GHz Dual-Core
# RAM - 3 GB - DDR2 SDRAM (maybe SATA)
# Hard Drive - 320 GB
# Operating System - Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
# Screen - 15.4 in TFT active matrix 1280 x 800
# Optical Drive - DVD±RW / DVD-RAM
# Graphics - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470
I have no idea where to even start to repair this, and i can't send it off as warranty is gone and getting it repaired could be a lot of hassle for me as i need my compy working now. Im currently using a public computer to write this. Any method of repairing or diagnosing this problem I would be immensly grateful for!
