Hi having problems with boot up - freezing at different points from before manufacturers splash screen to finishing logging on and all points in between. Once up and logged on for a few minutes usually have no problems. BSOD will appear at any point in the process!
BSOD Dump file and PERFMON report attached.

Have already removed EaseUS Todo Backup as I used it to migrate to the new hard drive. Running MalwareBytes Scan. will let you know if it shows anything.

Did you test for 8 passes (takes overnight) and then test each ram stick?

Did at least 2 passes of 8 tests for each stick. Didn't do a check for all sticks together. Will go and do 8 passes for each and for all together if that's what's needed!
Cheers

The most important test is to test all sticks together for 8 passes. Then if negative test each stick for 4 passes. If positive each stick for 8 passes.

The following problems have also been disclosed
driver has not been installed for this device preventing it from working properly.Details:The device driver for Philips Wi-Fi micro music system has not been installed. This device will not be available until the correct device driver is installed.Resolution:1. Try installing the drivers using Windows Update.2. Install the drivers that are on the installation media that came with the device.3. Check with the manufacturer for an updated driver.
And you only have 15% of hard drive space remaining. I would suggest that you uninstall some programs or transfer them to an external hard drive.
Be sure that you have all the Vista SPs

Hi
Memtest came up with no errors for all the tests you suggested.
The Wifi media player has been uninstalled (no drivers for it from Philips website or from Windows update but seems to install fine on new Windows 7 laptop!)
Drive with <15% is an external drive and is just used for backups. Have recently installed a 1tb drive so have lots of space.
The system seems much more stable - boots up, does not freeze during boot and has not recently crashed.
So everything seems to be better for the moment though I've not really changed much. Just taking the memory sticks and reseating them may have been enough!
Thanks for the help and I'll let you know if I have any more problems
Thanks

Somtimes the memory sticks are not set properly. Removing and then resetting does sometimes solve the problem. Hope that your BSODs are now a thing of the past.
