Hi, so, im at a loss. Thursday night i was watching something on youtube. The screen froze and the sound that was coming from the video i was watching repeated itself very fast for about 3 seconds. The laptop then shut down, went to turn it on again, get a message saying it was shut down improperly, start launch repair or start normally. start normal..... goes to the green loading bar for about 5 minutes then restarts back to the same message. so this time i hit start repair... this again goes to the green load bar for about 5 minutes, and gives me a bsod. Will not boot in any safe modes, actually.... nothing will boot in the F8 screen. the memory diagnostics thing is all that will work, ran that and it didnt come back with anything bad.... I know this isnt gonna be fun for you guys.... will give better info once i know what you guys need. Thanks

Others may come by to offer help, but my suggestion is save your stuff. We can show you how with Ubuntu. Then we can get you an install DVD (free) all you need is a valid key number and reinstall. Tell me how you want to proceed. Sorry about your problems.

Hey thanks for the quick reply. Ummm, i honestly dont have anything that is Super important, so i dont need to save anything really. i Just want the thing up and running, sooner rather than later, ya know? This happened about a month ago, and i went away for the weekend came back to start messin with it, and it just booted up good as before, so i tried that avenue this time...... needless to say, it didnt work lol.

I will post a link to a thread. If you just give your email address, mention that you want to reinstall, it will be emailed to you free. The link that you receive email, will allow you to burn a install DVD.
Be sure that, for your own security, you delete your email, after it has been acknowledged.
Further more, give the address like this Someone at xyz dot

The install will work unless the problem is with the actual hardware of the computer. Then you need a new computer.
