bsod need help system service error

Wow long thread. my take from a hardware side.

Memtest should be run in excess of 24hrs for a difinitive answer.
You claim only a 250W psu.. which is bare minimum and the stock is crap quality. Its very possible it has degraded to a point where it is not able to properly power your system and so its screwing up and bsoding.

I would not put 16gigs into your system, it is going to be very hard on your memory controllers and require more voltages on a bunch of settings. 8 would be your most needed.

Switch up your mobo and the oem disk is a grey area, as you put a non hp mobo in.

I'd switch the power supply and see how it goes.

Disk click and check is a good sign your harddrives dying.

Yha you can use the old disks on a new hd with no issues.

so let me ask a question then, when i instal the 500w power supply all i get is the click and then it finally loads after the disk check but when it loads everything runs so slow,so i installed the stock hp one and still getting the click and now it wants to do a disk check on the old power supply also but it doesnt run slow. should i only replace the hard drive and use the stock hp power supply or should i replace the hard drive and install the 500w power supply then load the oem disk's

Switching a harddrive isnt to big off a step step step trouble shooting.

I WOULD use the new power supply, as you know it is for sure powerful enough, and the new drive.

The clicking is the drive breaking, well usually, and honestly if a file on it is slightly corupt, it could be your bsod issue.

just as a recap i did recieve the pc back from hp this monday they have replaced the motherboard the cpu the memory the hard drive and the optical drive (its beyond me why they didnt give me a new pc i guess they couldnt afford to scrap the case) the problem has been solved the initial problem was the solder on the gpu and bad caps on the motherboard however as a result of the numerouse bsod's and the premature shutdowns it trashed my hard drive so that had to be replaced the cpu was not technicaly bad but it was running at abnormaly high temps according to speed-fan 102 celcius so i demanded that be replaced to prevent a future problem/issue/warrenty claim and as far as the optical drive it was reading dvds very slow as in taking a long time to load but if i polyed the same dvd in another comp it loaded right away. thanks to all the great guy's of this forum for the suggestions and advice i have gave props/cudo's i hope i did it right as this is my first time being here.i'am sure i'll be back as i'am like the walking dead when it comes to computers (good movie)

Although all of Brinks Tutorials are excellent, they will be more pertinent if the computer is well maintained.
To maintain your computer

10 Tips on How to Properly Maintain Your Computer

Steps that I did not notice on the guide include:

Running a scan disc before doing a defrag

Using Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes.

Making System Restore points, at least once a week

Makaing a system Image once a month (varies by user)

Not relying on your A/V common sense, should prevail. You know of many sites can cause a problem.

Do not use any reg cleaning or optimizing software.

Download and use Ccleaner about once every two months. Untick any registry entries.
http://www.piriform.com/

If you follow these instructions, you will be trouble free for a long time to come.

Be sure to back up your hard drive about once a month (varies by user) and to keeep system restore points up to date.
