I'll let the other guys respond as to whether or not you would be able to install Vista on that system, except in a virtual set up. Do you have a Vista key?

I can’t give step-by-step instructions for something I never did myself. Vista x64 has well-known issues on newer Intel hardware, so Vista x86 (or Windows 7) would be my recommendation.

I doubt it will work on a 10th gen machine bios.
It seems ok on my gigabyte b365 ( 8th/9th gen) motherboard and somebody here is running it on 6th gen using nvme disk
