Compatible Hardware with Windows Vista in the MSFN forum), and have you checked to see if Vista-compatible drivers are available for the modern hardware components? I checked the ASUS TUF Gaming FA506IV support site at
FA506IV - Support and ASUS only offers hardware drivers for 64-bit Win 10 and Win 11, and I doubt the original manufacturers (e.g., Realtek, NVIDIA, etc.) still offer Vista-compatible drivers for your hardware....
Just let me know why vista is booting from my usb on my latitude e630 & not my ASUS laptop. The ASUS drivers are not meant for vista but i can change compatubilty mode true?

here> for the FA506IV suggest that your ASUS laptop has an AMD Ryzen 7 4800H CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card GPU (or some other CPU and/or GPU from the same era) and a NVMe PCIe SSD, and there are very few CPUs / GPUs on WinClient5720's list <
here> in the MSFN forum that were released after
2014 that are compatible with Vista.

partial success installing 64-bit Vista Business on a custom-built computer with an
AMD Ryzen 9 5900 CPU. It appears they added a second SATA HDD (spinning platter) hard drive to their system since Vista did not recognize their SSD, and they kept their Win 11 OS installed on the SSD so they can dual-boot their system into either Win 11 or Vista. However, their Vista installation
does not have a working USB port, mouse or network connection. They also noted that installation of 64-bit Vista Business from a bootable USB did not work (it sounds like there was a problem when the USB installation media they created with Rufus tried to find a driver for their optical drive) and they had to install 64-bit Vista Business from a DVD.
I have no experience installing Vista on a computer with newer hardware so I suggest that you post <
here> in the Vista board of the MSFN forum and ask if your ASUS FA506IV is capable of running Vista. Be sure to list all your system specs, including the Windows operating system your ASUS FA506IV shipped with as well as the make and model of your CPU, graphics GPU and hard drive. I suspect the answer will be "No", but WinClient5720 or someone else in that forum should be able to give you a definitive answer.
