i have a problem, i cannot boot into my DVD,
when i restart, i go to boot manager and click boot dvd drive first
but..it just auto boots to my vista.

I suspect a corrupted boot manager. BUT i think it isnt a corrupt CD or DVD, because i didnt burn it.. Microsoft did. and i have booted in before with it

sorry im in a hurry, and cannot correct my grammar, i'll leave my computer on, so can anyone help me?

I suspect it IS a corrupt disc, but let's say it isn't.
There could be numerous reasons. One of the most obvious is that the DVD drive isn't enabled. It happened to me once, I think I set it to Primary Slave or something like that. It gets confusing after you've messed with the settings thousands of times. So check the BIOS. Also, I doubt it, but maybe your computer can't boot DVDs.

I understand you can view files on your DVD, but it may not be enabled to boot.
BTW, your BIOS is locked? With a password?

2 things-

1. Just asking, are you 12? If you are... so am I.

2. The windows bootloader has nothing to do with it, im sure of it. You need to check your BIOS. Your bios is when you boot up your computer and it says something like:
Press F8 (or something like that) to enter Settings (or BIOS, or system, or options)

Yes, exactly. You might need to set it to PRIMARY SLAVE if your hard drive is IDE. Otherwise, if it's SCSI, make it PRIMARY MASTER.

OK this is how it went down.

I installed the update, and restarted my computer.

Then I shutdown my computer just incase so the update installed.

I saw immediate effect, the loading screen changed.

I quickly pressed F10 (BIOS CONFIG)

Still the 1st drive is my DVD/CD drive
2nd drive None
3rd drive is my hard drive

So, something is wrong, so I pressed f5 to set to system default
it restarted my computer, i pressed esc to load boot
checked DVD drive to boot first, but vista loaded instead

Before it would say, are you sure you want to boot into your DVD? press a key

but it doesnt even say that D:

looked across google for somethnig like this..
no hope
