Solved Can't Receive Email

My inbox, sent box, and drafts and now void. Not a single email shows that's been there for months nor does anything show I've sent whether three days ago or two weeks back. I discovered the other day I wasn't getting any email-I checked again yesterday and nothing again so, I knew something was up. I still had all my emails showing nevertheless.

I had an Xfinity tech check into things today(at a cost of $49.95) and he found all my emails were being forwarded to some old address I had typed in wrong to someone several years ago???Thing is, it was wrong in that I had entered it with a suffix of .nett instead of .net. At any rate, he removed the address and we thought that would fix the problem...if didn't. I still can't send myself a message and receive it now all my old emails, sent or received are missing as is my drafts. Can someone help?

The odd part is I can do a search and type in a known email I had and it's brought up and I just forwarded it to my inbox and it shows up. I can't remember 200+ messages however. It has to still be on the server somewhere with the rest of the emails.

I have Vista Home Premium, Firefox and use Windows Live mail. Nothing like this has happened before and I still don't know what happened.

Wow , i feel for you, get that ISP peep on chat or phone and get someone with some " authority " and " knowledge" to fix you up. This is an issue that they should be able to resolve without you going bonkers looking for a solution.

I've tried for two days now. I still can't get emails sent today, last week and what really bothers me is that all my saved emails with their contacts are gone as is all my saved Drafts where had research saved. This evening I was told they were going to get in touch with the "International..." something or other and they'd get back with me in 24-72 hours. I've been told that since yesterday about others that tried to help.

I've nearly given up on Comcast helping.

I've gotten support, too but; it didn't amount to fixing my problem and now I'm out $50.

I guess I should have marked this as solved a year ago. I had to bite the bullet and loose emails, etc but I'm back up to snuff again.
