Computer crashed please help!

I am new to this forum, but not new to vista crashes. I have had to do a clean re-install of my OS Vista Home Premium 32bit. I was smart enough to copy the entire c:\ onto an external hard. Here is my problem. In windows mail I had a saved category that I need info for, but I don't know where to find it. Could someone please help me.
