I have a dell t series.
Windows Vista 32 bit.
I was doing a windows update and it said it needed to be restarted in order for it to be completed. Upon restarting computer it said there was a problem with the update. I tried restarting and now It locks or stops when loading at !! Oxc0190005 !! 24778/61615 (Registry\machine\schema\wmc.
I tried the F2 and F2 Bios Setting and reboot with the cd: downloaded to help it get to the System screen. I tried restore and it locks down. Not sure what to try now!!!
Please help me. I need to be able to get my I tunes account backed up at least if it isn't going to work properly.

I definitely have a LOT to learn yet Jason.
I'm sure some of the senior most experienced & knowledgable members, have 'forgotten more than I
will ever learn'.
You're doing good yourself Jason, joining in threads, you are learning skills also.
Good for you.

Back up all files and data on your computer that you wish to save.
As you will loose them when doing a Dell PC factory restore.
http://www.ehow.com/how-3809032-do-system-recovery-restore-dell.html
Hope this helps
If doing a factroy restore:-
It takes your computer back as it was when you received it from the factory. Back to day one (1)

So what you are saying is that if I do not have a backup of the files on my computer that I'm going to loose everything on it. I was hoping I could back it up.

Before I let you go!! One quick question. After I restore PC to factory settings what about the windows updates. Do I need to do all the updates. Like SP 1 and SP2?

Hi,
I have a link here, please click & read, it may help.
About updates? I'm afraid so! BUT please follow the Dell steps carefully, slowly, take your time, they are good I've done it my self a number of times.
Take notice of order of re-installation of software procedure, makes it easier for you.
I found it easier either to have a printed copy of the instructions at hand, or on another computer.
Sorry about the updates!! Load the win updates a few at a time.

Start in safe mode and remove the update. Start normally and try the update again.
Get to safe mode by pressing F8 before Windows starts to load.
You shouldn't need to do a restore with the recovery section for this little problem
