I had ssh working into vista, port forwarding, working fantastic.
I've got a wired router, also a wireless router used as an AP for other laptops. Like I said, everything okay.
Installed a wireless printer on my vista box, re-booted, applied some updates, and now cannot ssh into the machine.
I uninstalled and re-installed the copssh to make sure that a windows update didn't step on something, still doesn't work. I reset, reconfigured the router, still doesn't work. Another box on the same network can ssh still okay. I can see the external ip and port hit the router log, so I know my ISP is not blocking that port.
After the printer install, I did notice that the wireless router had UPnP enabled. I also noticed that all of my traffic now seemed to be the ipv6 variety, with ipv4 stuff tunneled. Also have lots of "hidden" devices. So I uninstalled the ipv6 hidden devices. Then I disabled ipv6 via the registry. Re-booted and still doesn't work. It thought maybe the ipv6 was creating problems.
So how to debug this ? I see no entries in the copssh log. Since the wireless router has upnp enabled, is this blocking the port somehow within vista ?? Is there some ipv6 driver in the way somewhere ?? Like I said, previously had it working. Driving me crazy, hope someone can help.
