Hello,

I am willing to help you with this problem.

If at any point I say stuff too complex, just slow down and ask :)

SAFE MODE:

Please boot into Safe Mode and tell me if the problem remains. Turn off computer, switch on, immediately start tapping the F8 key, until you get a screen where you can use the arrow keys and Enter to select Safe Mode with Networking.

WEBCAM:

Do you have a webcam, and if so, what model?

CRASH DATA:

1. Click on the Start Orb and then click on Control Panel. (All steps have screenshots below and you can click on any screenshot to enlarge it.)

2. Double click on "Problem Reports and Solutions".

3. Click "See Problems to Check" on the left hand pane. (N.B. Your window will not look exactly the same as mine)

4. Under DefaultSettingEXE MFC, click "More Details". I do not have DefaultSettingEXE MFC in my list, so substitute my Installer for your DefaultSettingEXE MFC.

5. Copy everything in the red box on MY screenshot and paste it into a reply to this thread. Alternatively you could make a screengrab of the whole window and reply with that instead.

How to take a screengrab: How to use the Snipping Tool in Vista

6. Click "OK".

7. Check "Select All" and "Check again for solutions to other problems" then click "Check for Solutions". If any new solutions are found, particularly for DefaultSettingEXE MFC, open them up and see what they say.

Thanks,

Richard

Don't worry, there is only one line that is important at the moment. You see on my screenshot, Problem Signature 1, I need to you copy here the file name afterwards, in my screenshot, installer.exe. Can you please write down the .exe name in your report?

Thanks!
