how can i install directx 8.1 when i already have directx 10 (cause vista is gay like that)?

second question if i want to deinstall directx 10 how do i go about doing some (what do i search on my computer)?

Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime

This'll give you 9.0c. That should solve your DX8.1 needs.

I don't know about uninstalling DX10. I want to say it's integrated into the kernel, so you probably can't. In fact, on some research, I'd say it's downright impossible.

it said i have a better version or equivlant version to the download connected to that link .... thanks anyways

That pretty much means that you already have a 9.0c equivalent, as well as DX10. You can run any of your DX9 software (and previous) without problems in that case.
