Distorted Sounds

Hi,
All of a sudden, my sounds in vista have become distorted?
like clicks, and logon sound?
My drivers are up to date?
Can anyone explain why this is?

I have experienced the same problem, it happened all of a sudden I have updated drivers and everything but it is still the same, I even installed the Sharky codecs (see another thread) and still the same thing, getting very frustrating. Mike.

Well, I still do not know the answer??
Maybe un-installing the driver may help?
And re-install?
