Donations - Lets buy Brink a decent PC

Come on everybody, let's put our hands in our pockets and help the Administrator of Vistax64.com, Shawn Brink, get himself a GREAT computer not just a good one.

I'm unsure how many people are Members of Vista x64 and how many come here for help every day, but it must be in the many thousands and I think there's currently around $900.00 or so in the kitty so far.

Comeon everybody, we can do much better than that for someone who dedicates his time, money, resources, and much more on keeping this site alive.

Without Shawn Brink, many of us wouldn't be able to run Vista to it's full potential.

As they say, from small seeds, big trees grow, so don't think your contribution whether it be $10 or $100 won't matter, because it will and it does. Every bit of financial support you can offer Shawn Brink to help him purchase a decent PC I know will be very much appreciated by him and will be a significant step in the ongoing operation of this website for all Vista users.

Tried to send a donation for Shawn's PC (he certainly deserves it), but due to a battle I had with Pay Pal a year ago, it doesn't go through Would be happy to mail a check or money order if there was a PO Box. I would have had to buy a book (or two or three) to get the info and help I found here and would love to donate to the cause.

Thanks for the offer of assistance Gary. I'm quite sure Shawn appreciates it. I don't know of a mail to address as of this post, but I'll inquire. I'd like to take this opportunity to invite our members who've been following this thread to really consider donating today. We're very close to reaching a goal number that will kick Shawn into high gear. I've been reading some great posts and seeing alot more supporter banners. I'd like to see 25 more supporters of $25~$50 USD each. This will take us over the top and bring together an awsome system for Shawn.

I don't want this to come off as a copout but I don't even have a
bank account of any kind. No credit cards, no debit card.

I would contribute to this for sure as Brink is a very big help to me!
His Tutorials' are beyond compare. His attitude when helping people
is exemplary. It seems as though there is no time when one can come
to this site and not find Him logged on. His time here is appreciated!

I'm trying to help Z3r010 with a solution for mailed in donations and should have something posted today. I appreciate your offer of support and I know Shawn does as well. I'd also like to thank everyone who's donated so far and encourage our members following this thread to consider donating today. It's one small way we can show our appreciation to Shawn for all he has done for us. I've said it before, but it is certainly worth mentioning again, I've personally benefitted from Shawn's work and have donated $100 USD towards his new system. It's a small token of my personal appreciation for his sleepless nights working on an older system, helping make the rest of our lives better and more enriched with the very well written tutorial section, not to mention his constant presence helping others in the forums. It will take 5 minutes of your time and you'll be helping Shawn to continue to help others in the process. Thanks for reading this. I hope you'll join our supporting members today. For our members who'd like to donate to help Shawn without a credit or debit card, obtain a money order in the amount of your donation, with the pay to name left blank or payable to cash. You can then mail your money order to:

Once your money order arrives it will be transformed into electronic form and submitted to the donation pool. A thank you note will be posted in this thread when your money order arrives. I've arranged to have this address checked once a week for donations. Please allow a few days for time in between when the box is checked and when the thank you note is posted. Z3r010 will then give you a supporter tag which is displayed on your posts. I hope this will help you help Shawn.

Edit: Be sure to include your member name you use on the forums so we can credit the correct supporter.

I'm in for 50.00 USD.

As I did not like the idea of just putting a blank 50.00 in the post and sending it
off into the wild blue yonder, I went today and purchased a U.S. Postal Service
money order in the amount of 50.00 USD (redeemable on demand for cash at any
US Post Office). It also is very easy to track.
I then posted it to the address above as a registered letter that has to be signed
for when it is received. I will receive a confirmation of recite in a return post.
I am very glad to do this. The only reason I went into such detail here is incase others
have the same reservations I did. To present a solution.

When I get the recite conformation I'll post back here.
z3r010 will probably know that it has been received before I do.

I love this site, and I really can't remember if there has been any other moments where I spent as much time and effort on one site dedicated to helping people with any question regarding Vista X32 or X64.
