IMO, one don't use windows automatic updates for drivers except for microsoft drivers; use the manufacturer's website instead. Two, when it comes to drivers, I follow the philosophy of "if a isn't broke, don't fix it." Drivers are finicky and messing them can cause issues especially if the newest version has a bug (heaven forbid) so if what you have works for you and your system is stable then why would you risk that? Three if you do decide to update backup your system first just in case.
