you can select and adjust each monitor individually within the NVidia control panel , right click desktop and select nvidia control panel , then select the advanced mode

in the monitor section both your monitors will listed and shown , just click on the one yo want to adjust and the brightness ec properties will become available

as for the actual method of how to calibrate im assuming you already know that :) ive no idea ;)

thanks, but I actually need to calibrate each display with an xrite i1display 2.

the software that drives the device, i1match, doesn't take the video card into consideration when establishing an icc profile. In fact, xrite recommends setting the video card settings, in the nvidia control panel, to their default values prior to calibration.

Needless to day, I'm able to calibrate my primary monitor but have not yet discovered a way to calibrate the second display. Assigning icc profiles can be done via the display settings dialogue box under color management, but I have to first create a profile for each device. Not sure how to do this for the second device.

no problem. There really isn't any way to color calibrate from within windows. A calibration device is required to properly generate icc profiles for attached displays.
