Glad I found this thread! Windows 7 64 bit accepted the driver without a hitch. I'm still setting up Win7 so I haven't had a chance to actually use the scanner as I have more software to install. I don't anticipate any problems. I was really in love with the Perfection 1200 when I got it years ago. I still have no reason whatsoever for wanting to replace it. I think "forced obsolescence" is a pile of smelly dung when it involves good working, quality, very useful equipment.
I had to use an almost identical solution for a Linksys Lan card I put in. I couldn't believe there were no drivers commonly available for Win7 64 bit for something as common as a simple Linksys nic. It's several years old, yet it's still the latest version.
