The disc is damaged, see if you can clean it, or borrow a friends cd and use your cd key
and try to reinstall it from there

if you are getting blue screen check your RAM, are you using SATA or IDE hard drive.. if you are using SATA make sure you setup the SATA in bios or do do it while installing the OS... You need to press F6 then load the SATA drive on an external flooy drive.. can assist you more in that.. but here think more the problem can be a faulty RAM

No you do not need to buy another one william. restart your pc with the vista disc in. We are trying to install vista before you login. It is important you do it this way because windows will not install over another installation if you are logged into.

get a USB if you are on another computer and go to your laptop's website.
You are looking to download drivers for your laptop get your model name, might be underneath the laptop.
drivers are what lets your hardware, in this case the wireless adapter talk to your computer so your computer can tell it what to do, without this your pc is just going WTF is that thing stuck into me!!??
so download ALL the drivers, all the software, firmware and install it on the laptop. everything should work from there

Another problem...it says i need to be a member in order to save the files...so, i click register and personalize, then i enter everything...correctly...then, it says please enter a valid phone number...and i know that i put in the right phone number...maybe it's because i live in Canada and not the US???What should i do now?

just copy the files from where they are saved to. and drag them onto the usb.
to find them there are a few options, but to be quick and easy just click on file and then save as in internet explorer
