Suddenly I can't expand/collapse Windows Mail folders. There are no triangles preceding folder names. Can anyone help?

In case anyone has the same problem, I simply went to View/Layout, unchecked Folder List, then rechecked it, and the expand/collapse triangles reappeared. Thanks.
