explorer problem

I can't even FIND windows explorer! Where is it? I need it desperately so I can copy some files from a CD into a folder on my computer.

open "my computer" start> computer.

Thanks for the quick response. I did that -- so that is Vista's Windows Explorer? I was expecting it to be similar to explorer on XP. I guess i can't drag and drop stuff.

Yea, you can drag and drop. If you have a folder you should be able to drag and drop into the folder.

Hi I have a problem with opening shortcuts in my start menu. when i click on them the explorer opens instead of application or shortcut. For example when i click on control panel, documets opens not control panel. Even if click on computer again documents folder opens not computer. Help me.
recently I had updated windows and after that my icons in control panel was missing. I did a stupid task. I searched in the net and there was a fix for registery thatn i used. It just added my problems as above. I can not restore because the backcup and restore is not accessible.
