A great re-application of a standard MS Utility.

Works great in Windows XP, all versions.

Thanks,
The Shadow

PS: Leave 'Setup Logs' unchecked if you want to ever UN-Install any programs.

You're welcome!

Actually it's not really a program, but just a jazzed up shortcut to the "Disk Cleanup" program that's been a part of Windows for quite a long time.

I've used it and shared it with my customers for years, but in the basic version as included with Windows. The added features let you set Disk Cleanup to your own specifications, including things not included in the basic version.

(Did you know there are 125 billion galaxies in our Universe?)

Again I caution anyone wanting to use this "Extended Disk Cleanup" to check off any item in the list you may want to, even all of them, but please leave the Setup Log Files unchecked.

I've now added this Extended Disk Cleanup shortcut to the shortcuts I already put on the desktop for my customers as a part of a "Weekly Cleanup" routine.:D:geek:

Again I want to thank "Dmex" for posting this really neat shortcut. It's going to help a lot of people to keep their computers clean and running more efficiently.:)

Blessings!

To all who know about the options:

I'm really, really scared about checking the following two options in extended disk cleanup tool mentioned above:

1. Previous Windows Installations(s)
2. Files discarded by Windows upgrade

The reason is simple! Unlike your regular disk cleanup, extended disk cleanup DOES NOT have the option to select the drive to clean; it will clean all drives by default.

Moreover, I have a dual boot XP installation which can not be seen by vista i.e. if I have to boot into XP, I have to push XP's HDD up in boot priority.

As you can guess my question is: Will the above two options in any way hurt my XP installation?

Thanks!

Hi Dragor,

No, it will not touch XP. This is strictly the left over files from your previous Vista installation that did not get used in your currently installed Vista. (Ex: C:\Windows.old)
