Seems to be the fashion lately to have dark text on a dark background. I'm still using my Trust Rusty CRT monitor so these are practically unreadable for me. Anyone know a fix without using SeaMonkey or some other complex mumbo jumbo? Just need contrasting text so I can read it.
I'm using Firefox 3.6.2. Right now the only way I can read text on these sites is to select it with the mouse. Even then I don't always get contrast.
That helps to read it. Any way I can set it for one tab only?
Okay, I've got it. If I use Opera and in the View menu choose Style User Mode then it will be white background. I can just pop Opera up for lame sites without messing with my FF settings. Thanks for inspiring the solution.
edit: btw I wrote a little hotkey for this type of situtation. Rather than install an AddOn or Plugin for each browser like Launchy or similar, I use this doodad I wrote called Selector. It has other uses but comes in handy for launching another browser with selected text(as in click in the location field) by just hitting the hotkey and selecting your browser or other app from the listbox.
Nothing against Launchy. Just if you use 4 different browsers you end up installing 4 different launch plugins.. just to launch the other 3 browsers and back and forth. This method is more generic.
No sweat. The Opera kludge is fine. After all, I almost never bother with those sites. It's like, if you don't have a 16x9 monitor don't enter. Ok, fine.
