gaming troubles

Hello community
I have had troubles with my computer ever since it was given to me. My problem is mainly video gaming. I will suddenly get a huge burst of lag(spike lag) in the middle of nowhere. This can last anywhere from 1-4 minutes 4 being @ it's worst. Is there any soultion to this problem without having to update my OS to windows 7

And how can I view my system information in a way I can copy and paste without having to type it all out so I may get help with this?

To creat a file on your C:/ drive with the name info.txt do this

Click on start
Click on all programs/accessories
Open a command prompt as adminitrator (right click on command prompt and choose to run as administrator)

type into the cli

systeminfo >c:/info.txt

you can now edit this file with notepad and copy and paste the parts needed

is there a way to somehow stop the lag with my computer?
I see all these tricks to get the 60 second thing away but im using a wireless card from verizon right now so the wireless does not accept it as a wireless signal for some reason
