Hdmi to lcd get video no audio

Haven't forgotten about you guys, just sort of out of ideas. Other than that link I posted previously about it not working with certain Nvidia drivers,

HDMI audio doesn't work with new drivers - NVIDIA Forums

double check which driver version you are running, and tif not what is working from that thread, maybe give that one a try.

And trax you definitely need that cable to get the audio over HDMI with Nvidia cards. may or may not help but a bit more info on it here,

Guide: 8800GT/9800GT/9800GTX Sound over HDMI (Now including Creative cards) - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net

Right I have Grounded and applied live leads to Video card as per instructions.
Am upto date with video and sound cards. I see movement in the sound bar in SPDIF sound properties still no sound.

May there be a problem with the fact I am using a sound PCI card...

Hdmi no audio

I found out what caused my problem. I had the BIOS AUDIO set to auto and needs to be set to enabled. HP did not know this. TRAX1963 try it you never know.

I tried it but it did not work for me as I have only two settings [Auto] and [Disabled] so no connection as of yet...

But, I still say SPDIF shows activity but no sound!

OK one more question are you going from your PC video HDMI to a TV with a HDMI in or a DVI IN.

With a very expensive HDMI lead.

Haven't read the whole thread so forgive me if this has already been mentioned:

My PC is connected to my monitor via an HDMI cable and my headphones connect to my monitor. I has similar problems with sound being too low and ultimately found out that it was the Volume control on my LCD monitor that was set too low. Raised that to maximum and the sound to my headphones is much better.

See if that will work for you.

Solved Solved Solved

My situation has been solved late tonite as I was not able to do it earlier due to the wife wanting to watch TV.

I understand the fact, you need these:~

1. Updated sound card
2. Minimum updated video card to
GeForce ForceWare 190.56 Win 7 | Vista (64-bit) download from Guru3D.com
3. Have cabled up Video card to SPDIF [CORRECTLY]!

The fault I had was I had not connected to the SPDIF correctly!

SOLVED
