I hope someone can help. My situation, I am running out of space on my C drive, so I decided to change the location of Documents to my F: drive which is a larger hardrive I have installed. All was going well, and everything was moving, but then my laptop crashed with 3 items left to move!!!
At that point I could still see my original Documents folder and the F: drive with a copy of the documents folders. So I thought I'd try again and I deleted everything off F: and rebooted.
Wrong move....
Now my documents folder is F: with nothing on it, and I can't see C:/Users/Myname/Documents anymore!!!
After my initial panic, I realise it is still there. In cmd, I can access the directory using cd, and all my directories in C:/Users/Myname/Documents are still there. But I can't see or access them in Windows explorer.
Things I have tried;
- Change location of documents folder back from F: - no go, it says "Falied to build the list of regular subfolders under F:\System Volume Information" Access is denied".
- Been into the registry and tried to change the location of personal back to C:/Users/Myname/Documents - doesn't seem to have worked.
So I am getting desperate. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance...
