Help Rich!

Do you remember uninstalling AVG on my Laptop?

I have a major problem here. You had me remove AVG with the uninstall program well it left debris from the program Revo uninstall. Because it left debris it is casing problems so I tried to install AVG and not it is giving me all kinds of errors. Ughhh! I even see AVG on the uninstall programs and there is no way to uninstall it.

Is there a way to fix this problem??

Well here is the problem we uninstalled it in control panel but it is still showing itself in other areas. So my point is this, it is uninstalled however it really is not. So when you look for it in the uninstall special program Revo you gave me to uninstall it does not show its left overs so to speak. Same with the CC cleaner. So when I went to reinstall it, it would not let me it had errors all over the place. So HELP how do we get rid of the hidden stragglers?

Use the official uninstall tool that I gave above.

Okay Rich it took care of it. Yea! Well for what ever reason no matter what I do with my xp and vista it has high memory usage and I am just besides myself on it. I have to ask this question now the high usage that it shows on task manger is that just for the program running or could it be for my xp that I have too much in the documents and pictures and such??

My Computer

Memory is just for programs that are being used. Anything that is not used, not in startup and not viewed is not in memory. Pictures just sit on the hard drive taking hard drive space, but not memory unless you are viewing them

Whats "High" usage. Windows will use 50%ish of your ram by default...

Well allot of my memory is being used by many different things such as web, or email program ect. I have been trying to figure out how to lesson the usage so I would not have a frozen computer all the time.

I thought that we solved this in the earlier thread
