Help!

I have a pc running vista and It worked fine 4 days ago and I updated something from java and now I cannot get on the net? It is connected to the router but keep getting errors? Something popped up saying internet explorer appcrash I took a screen shot and have it on file. I reset explorer but still nothing any help would be greatly appreciated. I have homework due to night AHHHH Thanks Jason

Make a full anti virus scan and download and run malwarebytes, full scan. If clean
Go back 3 days before the update with restore. You will be working again. Then we decide how to get the update, if you still want itl

I did a full scan with webroot anti virus and spyware and I am clean. I did restore it back a few weeks and still nothing. I'm stuck on what to do? Jason

Internet options
advanced
reset
Boot

If not try this.
Go to search, type turn windows features on or off
Then turn off Intenet Explorer
Make sure you have another browser. Firefox is nice.

I did everything you said and when it came back up I got this message" App Failed to initalize 0x800106ba " ?

That error code that you gave me was for defender. Did you turn it off and your anti Virus?

Removing the addons should have worked. You have to boot after the removal.

I turned off the Ie by using the first way by adding 0.0.0.0. I also turned off my webroot anti virus and spyware program.. What do I do next?

Make sure that you have another browser ie Firefox and now boot and hope.

One of my suggestions should have worked
I suggested
Disable IE and use another browser
Reset (then boot the computer)
Turn off AntiVirus, and Defender (make sure its off)
System Restore

If you did number on correctly rebooted and then right click on the internet icon and troubleshoot problems, you should be good.

Ok i do have another computer and i think i will retry to system restore again with the anti virus off? I think that is correct?
