Hi folks, it's been a while (really surprised my accounts not been deactivated).

Got a problem that somebody maybe able to help me with...
My ex got me F1 2010 for Christmas(she's nice to me like that), and well... It doesn't work since I patched it, it's a GFWL game so I'm not really thinking about unpatching it, I can start the game fine, it loads fine, plays fine, but while I'm halfway through a race (usually about 4-5 laps in) it will freeze and loop the audio, the only way I can get any control back is to hard reset my rig, which is highly annoying :-(
It used to say that the game has closed down to prevent your computer from being harmed (DEP), but after disabling DEP it just now freezes and loops the audio, no blue screen, no error codes, just looping audio and frozen rig.

Solutions tried:
Reinstalling/updating GPU drivers
Reinstalling/updating audio drivers
Reinstalling the game
Disabling DX11 via workaround
Removing replay file/setting it to read only
Usual admin rights/creating another account blahblahblah

Any help?

System details are below

Dave

Hi Dave,
Normally, I would pass this one by, since I am not into games. But, I cannot just pass by a Senior Forum Member, who has helped many. Since most of my answers come from experience, I cannot offer much help pertaining to that specific game.
But, I do know how to research and have some material already. Hopefully we, and possibly others, can help solve this for you.
Here is my general information, that I give for game problems

Thanks for the info rich, however, I think DEP was to blame, not windows DEP, but hardware DEP, i disabled it as a test within the BIOS and it appears to have worked :-)
this was a common problem, nobody on codies forum knew how to fix it but it appears that my techie knowledge has paid off once again, i've posted it on codies forum as well, thanks again.

No, thank you. You solved the problem and then shared the results with the Forum; true Forum spirit.
