How can I find my old password from a previous installation?

Hello everyone, I recently re-installed the basic vista and cant seem to get my old passwords and bookmarks back. I mainly use Mozilla firefox for browsing. I can see the folder with all my old files from the previous windows that I purposely left there( so I could add it to the new one). When I try to open mozilla from the previous, all my old bookmarks and such are gone Its like its a fresh version. How can I go about to recovering those?
