How To Remove Vista Sidebar

If you are running Vista in the classic View, go to the Control Panel and begin to type search in the search bar. As soon as you type the s in search, several icons will appear. double Click on the icon windows sidebar and in the window that opens, remove the check in each item that pertains to startup. Hopefully your wishes will be met. Good luck.

Hmm, that didn't work. Should I just wait until I get my upgrade to Win7 before trying
again?

Did you try autoruns?

I have this same problem it is still unresolved.

everytime I reboot the sidebar reappears. this is very frustrating.

especially because it takes up valuable real-estate on my screen.

there must be a solution for this!
