Allright. The issue is with the file :

WindowsMail.MSMessageStore

With everything else original in it's place...

Delete that file, and mail opens with nothing in any folder.

Open mail with that file in place, and all of the messages are there, including the undeletable message in the outbox.

Is there any way to retain all of my messages? I cant lose them. Not sure I understand what the stuff in the Local Folders is for if Mail does not refernce them?

Anything I can do here?

Thanks again.

If you have a back up, you should be able to delete the problem mail. Before you do make sure that you can place the back up mail in the mail client again or it will be lost.

See, that's just it. I cant delete anything individually. It's that friggn' WindowsMail.MSMessageStore file that's the problem. With it, everything is there, w/o it, nothing is there, regardless of my Local Folders folder having all of the data in all of the sub folders.

To be up front, Im out of ideas. If it were mine, I would try the most current, and if that did not work, I would try one of the many others, that I have sent you.

I appreciate the time :)

Ok, here's what I would like to do:

Back up my inbox, and back up my sent items folder. Then I can delete WindowsMail.MSMessageStore, launch mail with all of the folders empty, thereby creating a new WindowsMail.MSMessageStore file, and then afterward importing my inbox and sent items data. Is there a way to do this?

--edit--

ok, done. Opened mail with the new WindowsMail.MSMessageStore file, and let mail rebuild the folders in a 'recovered folders' location within mail. Then, moved all messages (ctrl+a) to the appropriate foders.

Thank you!
