My son installed something on my pc and I can not remove it. I keep getting pop ups while on the web, I tried uninstalling a program that is called "Information" in the program files, nothing happens. Then I did system restore in safe mode, with 3 diff system restore points and each time I get an error message stating it did not complete successfully.

I dont know where to go. I ran Norton and it comes up with nothing. Pls Help! Windows Vista Home Edition Service Pack 2 64bit operating system!

Thanks

Can you tell us more about the program please
I use Revo Uninstaller and Un-locker for removing things.
You may have to do a bit of registry editing and we can help but need more information about what you are trying to remove
Try scanning with the free version of MalwareBytes Anti-Malware
A guide on it is on my site here.

I use to be able to do System Restore a few months ago. Now when I try to do a System Restore using different restore dates I get a first message "System Restore is complete" then a Second message comes up "System Restore did not
complete Successfully", "An unspecified error occurred during system restore."

I'm also running AVG Free Edition 2014.

I tried to do a Safe Mode System Restore but could not get to Safe Mode
using the directions sent to me. (Finally got into Safe Mode but still couldn't do System Restore). Also tried to download "malwarebytes free" but could not get the download to go farther than "Binary file" would you like to save this file.

Any help would be appreciated.
