I've been getting increasingly annoyed with my mouse as of late. I've always noticed that while I've been in World of Warcraft, the mouse just doesn't seem precise. You can move the mouse, and sometimes it stops prematurely, sometimes it goes past where you want it to go, you move right and it moves up a bit, it really just isn't seeming that great.
I'm using a Logitech MX400. I've tried both with, and without the Logitech Drivers / Software. I've enabled, and disabled precision on the mouse, and have also tweaked the sensitivity. Something just doesn't seem right. I'm also using a regular mouse pad that has absolutely no reflective capabilites on it... so I'm really at a loss.
Is this my imagination?
Is this mouse really that bad?
Is it the OS, or is it the mousepad?
Note: In case anyone is curious, this is the mouse pad:
I use a high precision glass mousemat , if the mat gets a bit damp (from my frantic gaming ) it does exactly that , could that be your problem? Mine is an MX1000 laser mouse , same concept as yours
1) The mouse is wired, not wireless. The connection to the computer seems physically fine.
2) I have attempted to clean the lens a few times, however only with me trying to blow on it. I'm going to attempt to use compressed air, something I've been too lazy to stand up to reach.
3) The mouse is pretty new, so the only possibility there is that I got a junker to begin with.
4) The mouse pad is just cloth, not glass but I imagine it would have the same affect as the lens having moisture on it.
I may try using the piece of paper, first I'm going to use the compressed air though. For the amount of movement it is successful on, I just find it hard to believe there may be something on the pad / lens that is causing this. I've had a piece of cat fur over top of the lens before, I know how it reacts when that happens... yikes!
