Hello

I want anything that can help to remember things when their times come. Is there any utility Vista that can do that? If there isn't, is there any free sotfware?

Windows Calendar is included in Vista versions Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate.

Look in your Start/All Programs menu. It should be listed at the top somewhere.

I also use a rather neat "Stickies" software: Stickies

Yahoo Mail (free) has Yahoo Calendar and Yahoo Messenger, which together function as a fabulous message/reminder system. You can customize them to give you several different kinds of pop-up reminders, beeps, etc. Try them, and play around with the many different ways to customize them. You'll like them!

There's always the standby Sunbird

Works on multiple OS. But I must say the Calendar was one of the few Vista features I tried to port to Windows Seven. There's an article how to do it on the web someplace. But it works for a week, then the Scheduled Task info gets corrupted. The beauty of the scheduled task feature is the reminder pops up without requiring Calendar to be running using up resources.

Maybe someone knows if the scheduled task feature is limited to a certain edition of Vista. Might require Ultimate or something.

But if there's one thing that's been coded a zillion times it's PIM apps. :)

Check the big download sites for freeware.
