Solved (KB2956189) update won't download

I just installed Windows Updates for March. At one point I knew there was something wrong because my progress had remained at 62% for a long time.

I canceled the update process. Almost immediately a window opened telling me I had to restart to finish installing updates, so I did that.

Following restart the Update History showed all the updates were installed -- with the exception of Microsoft Office Excel Viewer 2007, which showed as canceled.

I Googled (Chrome browser) for the update in question thinking I would just download and install it on my own. However, I've tried many times and the download does not start. I don't get any messages. After clicking the "Download" box it takes me to a page that thanks me for downloading this update but the update never downloads.

I have all downloads going directly to my desktop so I can easily find them.

Can anyone help me please?
