keyboard playing up

took the keyboard out and gave good clean but no difference so i have now ordred a new one

yes pluged into the usb port (as i said before a external keyboared )

Did you go to device managr and look for a small yellow marker by the keyboard driver?

ive just done a clean install and still got same problem

Did you update them. The keyboard driver may be corrupted.

Sounds to me that the input to the computer, from the keyboard is defective. You may have to use a USB.
