Anyways, Iv have just recently bought a new Laptop, an HP Pavilion dv9000 Entertainment Edition, Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5ghz, 2gb ram, 240gb HDD, nVidia GeForce 8600m GS, with a fresh format of Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit version. Which brings me to my question(s), I have my Home Theater System(Sanyo 500w 5.1), which I have my laptop connected to it via a Y-Splitter, from the headphone jack on my laptop, to an available channel on my receiver. So my problem is, my laptop is only putting out Stereo 2 channel sound, and iv look everywhere, and tried MANY solutions on trying to get the 5.1 working. I am using Realtek HD Audio Manager, and under "Speaker Configuration", the box where you can select different settings, the box is "Grayed out", and stuck on Stereo. Iv Googled MANY solutions, but none of which have solved my problem. Iv installed, and un-installed Realtek HD Audio Manager many many of times, and I still cannot chose my Speaker Configuration. So any help would be MUCH appreciated
