log in problem

I cannot log in at my welcome screen. There is password box with strange dots in it those I cannot delete or replace with my original password. Does every body know how to solve this problem?

I use Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit.

I have tried all the options under F8.

Somebody please help! I truly appreciate it
