Hi. My friend just upgraded his computer recently, and since then he has been having severe blue screening every time he opens an internet browser. I had him send me a .rar full of minidumps, and after checking all of them, 8/9 of them were due to "sptd.sys". I found through searching that sptd.sys belongs to Daemon Tools. I had him uninstall Daemon Tools and delete sptd.sys. Now his blue screens give a different "likely cause": BEFCM3XP.sys. I had him delete that, and after rebooting, he no longer had internet access. Oh.. and he cleared his recycle bin, too. I managed to find a copy of BEFCM3XP.sys online, as damn obscure and unheard of it is, and after placing that back into system32/drivers his internet access was renewed. I searched as hard as I could to find information on the file, but all I can gather is that it's somehow affiliated with the Linksys BEFCMU10 modem, so obviously that's required. Now I'm at a loss as to how to fix his problem. No programs at all but internet browsers are causing him to blue screen. Any idea how to fix the problem?
