Are you looking for an internal or external HD? Im sure your mobo will support almost 3 times the size you want to get. Just want to make sure its from a good mfr (western digital, seagate, etc) with a decent warrenty and that it runs the same protical as your mobo (ide, ata, sata, etc)

try to get as big as you can afford cause you would think that 320 is alot bigger than a 250 but its not. Storage rew's double every 18 m onths

Good luck and ask questions

Ken

I want to get an internal HDD im not sure but i think 500GB is the largest i can get which is cool. what i really want is is "SPEED" as i already have a external drive 1TB.
Thats why i was asking if my mobo can support a HDD @ 7200rpm.
were can i find this out?

Im sure your mobo can run 7200 but you should check with HP about what the largest they recommend. No matter what HD is the largest you can put in and they do run warmer. HD's (except for flash drives) are not going to speed up your computer alot.

Good luck
