Nope not really It's just settled in as the new PC without much thought at all.


I do have one last thing that is bugging me with the new setup (not tried to fix yet) - when my 2 28" screens go into power save, I now get an on screen message to say check the cables, the 2 19's that are connected still power save correctly.

Hi John,

Pleased to hear that it is now working. As regards the problem (actually, I would class it more of an irritant) with your 28" screens, have you checked the configuration on the monitors themselves? You should be able to disable these messages there.

I get the same thing for a second or two before the monitor shuts down to power save mode. Is that the same as your experiencing to since we have the same brand and model of monitor?

Does the message stay there long?
If not I would not worry, the signal from the graphics card is going low which is the same as the cable being removed. The monitors are just picking this up and thinking they are being removed.

It stays there until the power comes back on

Strange thing is it didn't happen when I had this setup on the other mobo I may take a look at it today and see if I can get it sorted.

You might see if adjusting the monitor's OSD Other Settings menu option and selecting the Factory Preset to On may help any. I have my Input Setting set to Digital if that helps.

Umm ok,

Strange, you would think that the monitor would go into it's own sleep or low power mode after a bit anyway.

Here are some other ideas to play with if you haven't already:

• Install the monitor drivers.
• Check the Power Plan Options to see what your Display shutdown time is set for.
• Reverse the monitor connections on the graphics cards.
• Check the Change the signal or HD format setting in the NVIDIA Control Panel to see if it's correct for the type of connection you are using.
• Sledge hammer for a little persuasion.

Is there a sleep state in the bios?
I know on my system there are different signalls sent out. Try changing it.
