new ssd on a new motherbaod install

sorry .i just did finish installing 92 up date .
now i am able to open the control panel .
if am not mistaking i still have about 60 more up date to donloard .
but i have to wait for it be ready to download .
now every thing is fine .i thing .
for now any way .

Thats not a true ssd winner.

The winner is my laptop boots up in under 30secs with one, and over 2 minutes with a regular drive.

That time is a total startup, not just to useable state. Also programs like Word and games open in an instant too.

i am boothing also now in 30 secs .
but if i change my ssd to [ahci then i be gaining speed right .
now how do i about going the bios to change it to ahci .
i just dont know how to do that

You may not be able too. You have to look for the option to switch from ide to ahci

But i really don't understand that to well.

thank .no i did a lot of reading about ssd drive and this is what they all do .
but you have to change it to ahci before installing os .
so am to late .
but i did read again about it this morning and you are not gaining much by doing it any way

do you mean it go sleep but will power up after you it any key or the bar .
and how do program it .do you use power management in control panel

It won't power on at all. I pujsh the buttonn and nothing happens. I'm pretty sure the mobo is touching the case, causing a ground out, but that involves taking everything out of the case, which will happen this weekend.

I just put it together, sort of.. new mobo and cpu coolers, and it booted out of the case, but when i put it in the cas it didn't.

Just to understand, This pic, is my computer basically. I only have 1 gpu

yes but some time you to turn the power supply off and on a few time when it new.
try that

onl.y the board is new, but it worked out of case, I always first boot out of the case, which points to grounding.

Not a huge deal, I have 3 desktops and 3 laptops for just me.... So waiting to get free time is how it goes.

did buy evey thing from the case up .
am up well over 600.00 in parts that is not include the power supply and the dvd .
my case only is 120.00 plus tax and shipping .
now i still have a brand new mobo [ddr2 and ddr3] on it .3 brand new hardrive one is a raptor 250 .10000.this is all extra

For an AMD build that's a normal price, AMD is a great price per performance, where as Intel is the best performance chip, but you pay more.

well for what am doing webb brousing and read on forum 2 core is planty
so if you are about i7 well no one need 6 or 8 core no one .i3 is planty it is the same has triple core so if you buy the same exact on amd and intel the price be equal
it like have 32 gb what a waste of money .peoples that do that never did read nothing about .just [google] 8 gb vs 16 gb then you will see
the top that be used be 8 gb on 64 bits the rest is a waste

I use mine for SCIENCE.....

I'll fill 10gigs though doing work.

My laptop has 6 and I honestly can't remember the last (or first) time I've lagged.

the thing is even if you have 32 gb it will not use more then 8 any way .
and that is on 64 bits
you show a review that say the contery.or prouve it to me .then i will beleive you till then and am sticking with what i said

Actually, its all in what youre doing with it.

The Average user needs only 4 or 6 Gigs of ram, but a user doing photshop, video editing, work station stuff can easily fill 12Gigs.
