No Internet Connection

Sadly it seems to be a popular problem. I'm kind of computer illiterate so bare with me here. (:

I've done the whole reset your router, computer and check your cords. I cannot get a connection with a cord or via wireless. pic1.jpgThis is my favorite screen to stare at and the one that is always the same result. My computer is pretty out of date since I haven't been able to connect to the internet for a while now. :(

I went into the command prompt and tried "flushing and resetting" but that didn't work. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

This is the only device that has any problems with the internet. We have several other computers, kindles, ipods and phones that have no problem connecting.

Your IPconfiguration does not contain the all the information needed. I need to see the IPconfiguration of the Wireless Adapter that is causing issues. You will not be traceable by IP address because you will be using a private IP address stack which is used by millions. It will show me if there is an issue with IP addressing or if there is an issue with a particular application conflict or a different issue.

Until we can see the full output I am unable to help :(

Type the following in command prompt exactly including any spaces and special characters:

Code:
ipconfig /all>%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\ipconfig.txt

Once done you should find a text file called ipconfig on your desktop. Follow this tutorial and upload in your next post for us to be able to see. (OPTION TWO ONLY) - http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/289032-screenshots-files-upload-post-vista-forums.html

Do you have any settings that may hide items on the desktop? Do you have a multi-HDD configuration where your files are not stored on C:\ ?

ipconfig_desktop.PNG

If it isn't there then Click Start> {your username}

From there click on Desktop and see if the file is in there.

Right, Your wireless connection looks fine to me. Can you please boot your machine into Safe Mode with Networking and test internet connectivity.

Please follow this tutorial (METHOD ONE ONLY) - http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/123496-safe-mode.html

Note   Note
Please replace all references of 'Safe Mode' with 'Safe Mode with Networking'

Also temporarily disable any anti-virus and firewall applications when testing internet connectivity as they can interfere with it.

Many Thanks,
Josh :)
