Our router (A1 broadband internet) is not connecting to our vista laptop. Is this a somewhat known problem?

is it a portable router from what i saw right? i suppose you are using wlan to connect it, try disabling waiting a moment and enabling wireless with the switch /key combination,
does it give you an error when connecting to it? does it connect to anything else?
if it doesnt connect to anything you may have a driver problem or a virus in your pc (it happened to one vista machine of my uncle wich was full of viruses and wasnt able to connect to wireless anymore)
