noisy computer

whenever i play any games that are fullscreen, my computer gets really noisy then goes quiet about a minute later, then 2 minutes after that, it's noisy again.

what could be the problem?

It depends, noise coming from CPU fan, Harddisk or Speaker?

Could be several causes

ok i used speed fan, and the current temperatures are :

gpu: 93
temp 1: 42
temp2: -128
temp3: 36
HD0: 34
core: 34

all in °c

fan1:1805 RPM
fan2: 980 RPM
fam3: 0 RPM

pretty certain its not hard drive or speakers, may be cpu fan, but not entirely sure

Keep in mind Im not there and its just and eduacated guess. If it is the fan, you have to bring it in to be fixed. If the sound is NOT from the speakers, I would really guess its the fan.

What I meant is if the sepakers were on and the noise comes from there, it would not be a fan problem.

It sounds to me like the fan speed is increasing with heavy use. 30 something isn't bad but the question is how high does it get under heavy usage. I suggest that you run Prime95 to max out your CPU watching your temps while doing so. If it starts to get over 60 you should stop the program, shut down your computer, and clean out the fan with compressed air. If it hits 70 you definitely have a problem and to avoid damage I would immediately turn it off for a few hours. Do you have a desktop or laptop? If you have a desktop it should be easy but when cleaning it take steps to avoid ESD. If you have a laptop see your user's guide for how-to instructions for cleaning.

It's your gpu fan... Your cards running at 93C... not a happy temp. Don't run prime, its a waste it tests your cpu, which is at a great temp.

You really can't fix it easily, but give the card a good cleaning, as well as your front intake on the case.

Youre sorta boned as you have a pre-built computer, and it doesnt cool well.

For a comparison.. My 560ti runs 100% load and at 78C with my fan at 60%. My laptops 9600m gt is currently at 60 doing nothing, but jumps to 80+ when runing a game.

You can try using evga precision, |MG| EVGA Precision 2.0.4 Download , which will alow you to up your fan manually, and set it to a quiter but faster speed.

Another quick fix is open up your side panel so everything can breath.

i opened my pc up, and its definitely my cpu fan, it just speeds up suddenly for about a minute, then afterwards it stops, and repeats every 2-5 minutes, i have no idea what to do

Thats easy then. You just need to get an aftermarket heatsink or replace the fan from another oem one.

or would applying some thermal paste / thermal compound do the trick?
