Solved Not all RAM recognized

My computer came with 2 1GB DDR2 RAM. About 6 months ago, I installed another 2 2GB DDR2 RAM making 6GB total. At that time, the computer recognized all 6GB. I just had to do a system recovery because Windows Installer corrupted and I couldn't get it to work. Now it only show 2814MB of RAM. Can someone please help?

Hello tuckers02 and welcome to the forums

On 32 bit computers, the maximum amount of RAM is 4GB. So you installing any more than 4GB is a waste of your money See the table below for reference:



Try removing the 2 1GB RAM modules leave the 2 2GB RAM modules in place

I have the D-Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz E6400 2M Cache 1066MHz Processors. Does that mean I can upgrade to the 64-bit OS?
