Oblivion flashing different colors in vista 64

I am at the end of the line. I have tried installing and reinstalling games, drivers the catalyst command center that regulates my two 3870s and still no fix. In the past I was able to play this game without a problem but after a fresh installation windows the game no longer plays without the grainy color flashes. The game plays fine but the screen flashes these annoying bright colors. I have it running on administrator and compatibility mode yet it does not make a difference. I have a hunch that it may be driver related since the game plays and does not crash.

Please if anyone has a new train of thought any help is welcome!

My first thought is the graphics card net seated properly or going south on you.
Might want to read and try the memtest.

Hmm, well you may be right however it plays other games well, without doing the flashing problem. I also play Dead Space at high setting and lord of the rings online on high settings.

Not a gamer but if other games work well and and temps are ok then something is wrong with that game.

Have you cleaned you computer inside and out lately and everything has a snug fit inside?

Just trying to use the process of elimination.

Thank you for helping me out. I keep my laptop in top shape I just opened her up a few weeks ago and cleaned any dust out. The temps are normal. Maybe something is wrong with the game. Guess I will try reinstalling it again.
